Honorable Mayor, Council and Staff, With your permission, I would like to take a moment of your time to let City residents know about a special event coming up, Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kay Ceniceros Senior Center, 29995 Evans Road, Menifee. The City along with the Police and Fire Departments, Waste Management, SoCalGas, Coldwell Banker and the Interfaith Council will be hosting a Drive Through Trunk or Treat fundraiser to benefit Alternatives to Domestic Violence. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. As a way to gather donations of basic necessities and gift cards for the residents of the local Alternatives to Domestic Violence facility, the City and its community stakeholders will be hosting a Covid -19 safe trunk or treat where families can drive through, stop at the various booths, get candy and learn about various services in Menifee. Families can come in costume, but still be safe in their cars, trick or treat and make a donation of toiletries, cash or gift cards to benefit Alternatives to Domestic Violence. We hope you can make it. If you can’t make the event but still want to make a donation, donations can be dropped off at the Menifee Police Department, 29714 Haun Road. Thank you for your time.
