Discussion
•Each Fiscal Year,the City places charges on the tax roll for multiple County
Service Areas (CSAs)located within the City.The assessment charges collectedfromeachoftheseCSAspaysfortheservicesandchargesauthorizedunderthe
County Service Area Law.The assessments and expected charges for Fiscal Year2020-21 are summarized below.

•The services, which may be funded with proceeds of the assessments and
charges include:
•All costs attributable to maintaining,servicing,cleaning,repairingand/or replacing landscaped areas in public street right-of-way’s,
public landscaping,and other similar landscaped areas officially
dedicated for public use,street lighting and traffic signals,road
maintenance,parks,open space areas,trails and recreation facility
maintenance,recreation services,and sheriff services.
•In addition to the costs of the forgoing services,proceeds of the
special tax may be expended to pay administrative expenses and for
the collection of reserve funds.

•The City is required by the County of Riverside to provide a certified
Resolution to the Auditor/Controller’s office each year to confirm the
special tax levies within each CSA for the annual property tax roll.
•By continuing to administer and enroll the assessment and charges
for each of the CSAs,the City is able to continue to provide the
maintenance and services currently offered to the properties located
within each CSA.
•After the adoption of the Resolution the City will be able to enroll
the CSA assessments and charges to the Riverside County tax roll for
FY 2020-21.

•Fiscal Impact
•If authorized,the total combined levy for all of the applicable CSAs will be$1,851,929 for Fiscal Year 2020-21
•Recommended Action
•Conduct a Public Hearing and adopt the Resolution ordering the levy andcollectionofchargesforFiscalYear2020-21 for the CSAs within the City.
