2020-06-17 City Council Item No. 10.14 Public Comment - Miller Attachment (3) Regular MEETING - Additional Meeting Materials Public Comment MS. MLLER P.O. Box 1341 The passage of another major tract housing development will not come to fruitition under today’s economy and uncertainty. It was with discussingness that there were no negative letters received or were they just not read concerning the 40,000 truck and car traffic trips that will try to pour out onto I-215 and Menifee surface streets with the terrible air pollution and traffic legacy of the Legado Project at McCall and Encanto. I sent a letter, however, I have had trouble listening to the review and did not get into the meeting until veterans were claiming they have no where to meet with this club and that which is an outrage. There so many rooms empty all across the Parks and college and churches and schools in Menifee and they would be delighted to host your agenda. However, to support this Earth Destructive Project is disloyal to the Quality of Life for the Future of the Children, the open spaces that house the endangered and pesky animals like rats and coyotes, the Amount of Water that we will have to distribute in the Future. This Shameless developer and Irvine Newport Land Developers and Mike who have no vision of going back into current developments and connecting 4 tract houses into a Community Center and remodeling areas into the Paseos and providing curved trails and the other amenities of this former Flemming Ranch and will not materilize “Legado” is just disgraceful for Menifee to have passed and do not vote for these people on the Council. Find out who is running aganst the District Electees and work to elect No to Developers. It is also illegal to have passed anything while the City Council is closed for the people to attend meetings because most of your constituents cannot navigate the computer. Menifee needs to save money for Natural Disaster Flooding, High Winds, droughts, people moving out and taking their tax dollar with them. I experienced many people moving because of Legado and The Junction and the MSJC Stadium and more Audie Murphy. The Council will probably hear The Junction again the first meeting in July and devoted citizens will write an email opposing another traffic generating shopping center. They are frightened of a more than likely traffic accident, being the victim of a crime, quality of education beginning to slip, expense of more police and Fire Protectioon, the potential of Fire as Menifee backs up to many Wildland areas. Menifee is not a Top Inland Empire City . Do you see the crime statistics every week. Did you see the wreck at Newport and Haun Sunday June 14, 2020? I know people who have necer been involved in wrecks and are now collecting two and three accidents. It is because the odds are the more traffic the more likely that this will happen to you. The more housing the more loss of Quality of Lfe. These planners and Council just don’t gve up on their service to developers and diservice to the citizens of the Earth. Save Our Menifee no more Building Anything!!! People Lived here for the Rural Atmosphere that is Going, Going, Gone.
