•July 17, 2019 -A future agenda item had been requested by
City Council to discuss having regular meetings with the
School Boards
•January 15, 2020 -staff presented information to the City
Council and reported on the background of the item

•Perris Union High School District (PUHSD)
•Romoland School District
•Santa Rosa Academy
•Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC)
•Springs Charter School -Bear River Student Center
Menifee School Districts
•At the January 15 Council meeting, staff reported on the following:
•City Council/School Board meeting options
•Current updates on meetings held by the City where School Boards are
involved
•Information on what surrounding cities are doing
•City Council agreed & were in favor of an annual workshop hosted
by the City of Menifee and all Boards in order to collaborate

Interested in annual joint meeting

1 Board member confirmed possible interest in a
collaborative meeting starting next July
Recommendation
Because of the uncertainty and impacts due to the ongoing
pandemic, the issue of logistics, and responses received from the
School Boards, staff recommend creating a subcommittee of 2
Councilmembers to join the quarterly City Manager/Superintendent
meetings and request 1 or 2 School Board members to participate
