Dear Ms. Manwaring,
Regarding June 3, 2020 City Council meeting Agenda item 11.2 (Legado Specific Plan).
We would like to submit the following "Public Comment" to be read by the Clerk, and recorded into the
meeting minutes during Agenda item 11.2
‐‐‐‐‐
Mayor Zimmerman & members of the City Council,
The Menifee Valley Lions Club has been in need of our own private place to meet since we incorporated as
a non‐profit organization serving the needs of people and organizations of Menifee.
We are very pleased to see that the developer of the Fleming Ranch property is including a Community
Facility to be used by the public.
There is a real need by local service organizations. We all need a place of our own place to meet, host
events, and keep our materials.
We have been meeting at a local bank's conference room when it is available each week.
We have expressed our desire to the Mayor to create a location of our own so we can serve the community
more efficiently.
Therefore, we ask that the public building be designed and constructed to include multiple rooms for clubs
like ours.
Thank you to Newport Pacific Land including the Public Facility in the park. It shows they have been
listening to Menifee's need.
Sincerely,
Marty Lanz, President, Menifee Valley Lions Club
