APPROXIMATELY 122 ACRES (PLUS 31 BUILDINGS) SHARING THE EASTERLY BORDER OF
SUBJECT PROPERTY, DIVIDED ONLY BY BRIGGS ROAD. DUE TO PROXIMITY. OF PROPOSED
DEVELOPMENT OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY, RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT WILL RESULT IN
COMPLAINTS REGARDING FLIES & ODER, AS A RESULT OF DEVELOPMENT OF SUBJECT
PROPERTY, OWNER HEREBY OBJECTS TO APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL & WILL MAKE
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS AT THE MAY 20 HEARING.
DUE TO PROPOSITION 12, USE OF THE THE POULTRY RANCH AS IT IS NOW CONFIGURED,
WILL BECOME ILLEGAL ON DEC 31ST 2020. OWNER IS IN THE PROCESS OF CONTRACTING TO
BRING THE POULTRY RANCH IN COMPLIANCE WITH PROPOSITION 12 AT A VERY
SUBSTANTIAL COST. WITHOUT THE SUBJECT PROPERTY AS A BUFFER, A HARDSHIP TO
OWNER WILL BE CREATED.

IF THE CITY COUNCIL IS INCLINED TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL
DEVELOPMENT DESPITE THIS HARDSHIP, IT IS RESPECTFULLY REQUESTED THAT THE CITY
ALSO APPROVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE::
1. ANNEX THE POULTRY RANCH INTO THE CITY.
2. INCLUDE THE POULTRY RANCH INTO THE CITY'S SPECIFIC PLAN & GENERAL PLAN.
3. DESIGNATE THE POULTRY RANCH AS BEING IN THE SPHERE OF INFLUENCE OF
MENIFEE.
