Re: The proposed use of the Scott/215 corridor for industrial purposes.
We have been J-Bar residents since 1982. We have seen the City grow and prosper with many general plan
revisions that have slowly eroded the environment we originally purchased our home for.
We have accepted that growth requires some compromises to allow for so many of the amenities that we now enjoy
and have generally been pleased with the direction of the city.
I would however, like to voice our strong objection to the proposal of making the Antelope/Scott /Haun area a place
for industrial use. Having worked and lived in many cities, I have not experienced an Industrial and residential mix
work out well..
We already have a traffic problem in this area without allowing a high flow of semi and commercial trucks fighting
for space in this high volume area.
I would ask that the City stick to it's current vision and General Plan to keep this area for professional offices, retail
and sit-down dining.
Respectfully,
Ron and Sue Berenschot
