•The objective of the CBAT program is to partner a mental health clinical therapist with a mental health trained officer to
provide crisis intervention in our community, schools, and hospitals. Through a clinical support system, we can devote quality
services without time constraints that are client focused for overall wellbeing, provide collaboration with family members and
establish a follow up service which builds rapport with the people contacted.
•CBAT provides a host of county resources, referrals and linkage, transportation, such as
o Outpatient Clinics for Medical-Cal PT’s (Perris, Lake Elsinore, Temecula)
o Mental Health Urgent Care (Perris)
o Emergency Treatment Services (Riverside)
o Arlington Recovery Community (ARC)
Voluntary
Only LE or Crisis units can take patients directly w/out an appointment.
Residential substance use treatment & withdrawal detox services
Sobering Center (services for those currently intoxicated)
o Daily Collaboration with HHOPE unit
Housing and substance abuse assistance
o CPS, APS, Riverside Regional Services (behavioral)
•One of the biggest assets is the ability to research Mental Health Treatment History to see if individuals have mental health
history prior to arrival, improving officer safety, allowing for effective planning, and establishing collaboration plans through
existing services being provided to the individual (receiving current mental health or psychiatric services, consent for release,
family)
