-Generate a General Business Confidence Index of the economic outlook for businesses in
Menifee
What, if anything, has been done up until now to address this need or challenge?
-Menifee has conducted several Economic Impact Surveys and completes an annual business
walk survey.

-Create a survey to be sent to Menifee Businesses -Identify future employee retention,
anticipated revenues and profits, and company response to the pandemic through survey created -
Identify increase or decrease in business confidence from survey data from previous Menifee
business surveys

-This project is inspired by the Business Confidence Report that is generated for the San Diego
Business Journal bi-annually. ROGER'S NOTE: The assigned team can request the completed
San Diego Business Confidence Index report and their presentation from Spring 2021. Please

information.
Project 2:
Statement of the project or business-related problem to be addressed by the Masters
Experience team
Prepare a social media policy for the City of Menifee to use internally (City Staff and City
Council) to guide the City’s social media efforts.
What, if anything, has been done up until now to address this need or challenge?
The City has recently prepared a draft social media policy and had taken the policy to the City
Council for consideration. Staff was given direction by the City Council to revisit the policy after
further research has been conducted.
Key Objectives or Desired Outcomes from this project
-Review draft of City’s most current drafted Social Media Policy and history of what has been
completed up to date -Research social media policies from different Cities and identify strengths
and challenges -Prepare a comprehensive social media policy to be proposed to an internal Social
Media Policy Committee and the Menifee City Council for consideration -Propose/recommend
different options for training approaches for staff and elected/appointed members in regards to
the Social Media Policy

The City of Menifee prides itself on having a robust social media program and engaging content
creation. As social media becomes more relevant in every business sector, this project will
provide students with experience applicable to almost every field. In addition, legislative
research and policy creation will enhance students critical thinking and analytical skill set which
