PUBLIC WORKS / ENGINEERING UPDATE:
1. Speed Radar feedback signs are in and will be installed on Newport.
2. Haun/Smart and Final traffic signal and median operating since Feb 28.
3. Citywide speed surveys to begin this month.
4. City to conduct traffic signal warrants at Hwy 74/3 rd Street and Scott/Little Reb.
5. Traffic Engineering gave a presentation to the Senior Advisory Committee on
traffic issues throughout the city and answered questions. Senior Advisory
Committee will be involved in the Active Transportation Plan development and
will provide input.
6. Menifee/Mathews accidents and the need to restrict turn movements to improve
safety.
7. Murrieta paving and striping changes workshop was held on March 5.
8. Working with EA Chase Middle School and Paloma Valley High School to
address several traffic and pedestrian safety issues.
9. Plans for traffic signals at McCall/Oakhurst-Hospital and Murrieta/Park City are
at 100 percent design stage and are being prepared to go out to bid.
10. Adams Street Safe Route to School sidewalk/traffic calming improvements to
start next month.
11. Quail Valley area west of Goetz is currently being crack sealed.
12. Mira Lago neighborhood will be slurried and paved next month.
