SIGNIFICANT INCIDENTS: • July 30, 2017 E7 responded to a reported traffic accident at the intersection of Mc Call Blvd . C/O Encanto at the Valero Gas Station. E7 arrived to find one vehicle who struck a traffic signal and gas station sign. The Business was still in operation and RSO onscene for traffic control. No injuries were reported. • July 29, 2017 One chief officer and three engines responded to a reported structure fire at the 24000 block of Avenida Estrella. The first unit arrived and reported ¼ acre in grass moving toward a structur e. No structure involved. Bystanders advised an umbrella contacted powerlines. Fire was contained and threat to structure was mitigated. • July 23, 2017 One chief officer, four engines and one truck responded to a reported wildland fire on I-215 at Scott Rd. The first arriving unit reported ¼ acre in grass with a traffic hazard to the interstate. The fire was quickly contained to one acre. Moderate damage to SCE powerlines. During the incident, CHP provided a hard closure for a short period. • July 18, 2017 One chief officer, two engines and one truck responded to a report of a traffic accident with entrapment on Newport Rd. C/O I-215. The first arriving engine report one victim trapped. T76 performed extrication and freed victim of wreckage. One patient transported to local hospital. Riverside County Fire / CAL-FIRE Serving the City of Menifee Monthly Report • July 18, 2017 One chief officer, six engines, and two trucks responded to a residential structure fire at the 26000 block of Spaniel Lane. The first arriving engine reported one structure fully involved. The fire was contained and threat mitigated to adjacent buildings. One transient evaluated for a minor injury. No hospital transport required. • July 10, 2017 One chief officer, eight engines, and one truck responded to a reported wildland fire on I-215 at Mc Call Blvd. The first arriving unit reported two acres in grass and brush threatening apartments. The fire was quickly contained and the threat to the apartments was mitigated. No damage reported. 4. Training: • Week of July 2nd companies participated in the CAL FIRE Annual Focus on Safety • Week of July 9th companies conducted hose evolution training.
