In the report, you will see emergency activity which has occurred in the City of Menifee, in addition to the general business activity undertaken by the fire staff. The first arriving engine found moderate smoke conditions in Building B. The fire was quickly contained to miscellaneous debris/paper in the boy’s restroom. During the incident, the school evacuated all of the students to the football field. One heat related medical call also occurred on the football field during the evacuation. June 9, 2017 One chief officer, three engines, and a truck responded to a residential structure fire at 27000 block of Cactus Flower Drive. The first arriving Engine Company arrived to find a single-story home with light smoke showing. An aggressive fire attack and salvage operations was initiated and quickly suppressed the fire. June 20, 2017 One engine, and one truck responded to a CO alarm with 5 persons feeling ill. All victims were medically evaluated and denied transportation to a hospital by ambulance. The structure was monitored and ventilated by Truck 76. STATION ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS: School and Education Event Programs: Station 54 conducted 1 school program that included a total of 75 contacts. Station Tours: Station 5 conducted 1 station tours that had a total of 3 public contacts. Other Events: Menifee units attended the Archibald’s Ribbon cutting ceremony. Defensible Space inspections: Station 5 conducted 90 weed abatement inspections in the month of June. Station 68 conducted 27 weed abatement inspections in the month of June. Training: Week of June 5th companies attended the Western Operational Wildland Training. Week of June 12th companies conducted ladder training.
