SIGNIFICANT INCIDENTS:
May 1, 2017 One chief officer, five engines, and one truck responded to a residential structure fire with reported victims trapped in the 29000 block of Malone Ave. The first arriving
engine company reported heavy smoke and fire to the rear of the house and extending into the residence. An aggressive, coordinated, fire attack while preforming search, and ventilation
was conducted. Extension of the fire was held to the exterior fire and attic space of the residence.
May 11, 2017 One chief officer, six engines, and a truck responded to a vegetation fire in the 31000 block of Pleasant Valley. The fire burned 1 acre of vegetation and damaged or destroyed
6 outbuilding. 3 residential structures were threatened during the incident but not damaged.
May 15, 2017 One chief officer, seven engines, one truck, and a breathing support responded a residential structure fire in the 33000 block of Lindenberger Road. The first arriving engine
reported heavy smoke and fire coming from a large shed and a double wide mobile home. The fire was also spreading into the vegetation around the structure. The residence sustained major
damage and Red Cross was requested to assist with the displacement of three adults and one child.
May 16, 2017 One chief officer, three engines, and the truck and US&R from Station 76 were dispatched to a reported vehicle into a structure. The first arriving engine found a vehicle
into a structure with structural damage to two walls and no injuries. Menifee Building and Safety was requested and responded to the incident to evaluated the structure.
May 20, 2017 One chief officer, five engines, and a truck responded to a structure fire at an apartment complex in the 28000 block of Encanto Drive. The first arriving chief officer
reported smoke and fire coming from a second story apartment. Due to an aggressive, coordinated fire attack the fire was contained to one apartment. Red Cross was requested to assist
with 2 adults and 2 children that were displaced by the fire.

School and Education Event Programs:
Station 7 conducted 1 school program and 4 adult education programs that included a total of 60 contacts.
Station 68 conducted 1 school program that included a total of 150 contacts.
Station 76 conducted 3 school programs that included a total of 170 contacts.
Station Tours:
Station 5 conducted 1 station tours that had a total of 50 public contacts.
Station 7 conducted 4 station tours that had a total of 9 public contacts.
Station 68 conducted 1 station tour and had a total of 7 public contacts.
Station 76 conducted 1 station tour and had a total of 15 public contacts.
Other Events:
Engine 5 attended the Menifee Senior Health Fair.
Engine 7, Engine 76, and Truck 76 attended the EMS & LE Appreciation Breakfast at Menifee Valley Medical Center.
Defensible Space inspections:
Station 5 conducted 63 weed abatement inspections in the month of May.
Station 54 conducted 74 weed abatement inspections in the month of May.
Station 68 conducted 40 weed abatement inspections in the month of May.
Station 76 conducted 81 weed abatement inspections in the month of May.
Training:
Week of May 8th companies conducted Forcible Entry training.
Week of May 15th companies conducted Ladders and Pumping training.
Week of May 22nd companies conducted Driver training.
Week of May 29th companies participated in the Annual Wildland Preparedness training hosted in Menifee.
