PUBLIC WORKS / ENGINEERING UPDATE:
1. Scott Road/I-215 Interchange Traffic Control and Signal Timing Review
2. Goetz Rd widening and striping complete. Traffic Signal to be installed.
3. Newport/Antelope Traffic Signal power surge damage. New controller installed with
battery backup.
4. Commercial Vehicle Ordinance introduced at City Council 11/07/18
5. Conducting review of Quail Valley Elementary School and surrounding residential
neighborhood for safety/traffic calming improvements.
6. Conducting review of Freedom Crest Elementary School for safety improvements.
7. Enhanced midblock pedestrian crosswalk in design for new Central Park in Menifee
Town Center that incorporates midblock pop-outs and pedestrian activated flashing
signs design complete.
8. Ethanac/Murrieta Traffic Signal turned on by City of Perris and is on red flash.
Reviewing plans from City of Perris that will widen Murrieta Rd south of Ethanac to
provide for northbound left turn pocket.
9. Traffic signal design at Murrieta/Beth, Murrieta/Garbani, and Murrieta/Craig by KB
Homes Hidden Hills Development almost ready for mylar. Murrieta will be widened to
4 lanes as part of project.
10. Traffic signal design at 90% for Scott/Murrieta, Murrieta/Park City, and
McCall/Oakhurst (Hospital).
11. City project to install audible pedestrian buttons at all traffic signals and countdown
pedestrian timers nearing construction phase.
12. Ethanac widening west of Trumble (City of Perris/Developer)
13. Traffic Signal at Zeiders to be turned on Nov. 14
14. Rustlers Phase 2 paving underway
